I see the Storm coming
Dark clouds rising
Angry seas
and tsunamis
consuming houses, trees, beaches, and sand
O, Ephraim, land of rich ports
and all Benjamin with thee
In the midst of the storms, Lord, remember mercy
Who has not sinned before thee?
Consider the little ones, and women with child,
the old man, whose strength is failing
And what strong man can stand against hunger and thirst?
O, Ephraim, how beautiful were
your green mountains covering your Island
your valleys were full of the fruits of the earth
all that had ships were made rich at your ports
but now only desolation, isolation, condemnation
and separation from your mainland.
Benjamin howls for the pain he feels,
for he knows it
whole countries gone in a moment
Yet, the people party and speak foolishness
singing about euphoria and ecstasy up in the clubs
But, if it starts with you Israel, what shall happen
to the godless and the willfully blind, whom the god of this world
has captured?
Shalam,
Zarach
