Faith Versus Fear

A wise woman once said," I chose a long time ago to live by faith, not fears."

These are powerful words that can alter our perspective and life journey, if we take time to meditate on them. If we reflect deeply on this statement, we would discover the power that is locked in it. It has the ability to cause those that embrace it to face mountains and climb any hill that would prevent their destiny. It empowers the believer of these words to undertake any journey that would bring him to the city destine to be his no matter the difficulties, or the harsh words of his detractors that say, "its' impossible, what you intend to build will not stand, nor withstand the slightest blow thrown at it."  "You people are always in rebellion, what do you want now!"

Fear can't enter a heart of faith. It has no power over the drive, the capacity, the force, and the relentlessness of the believer. They confront fear with boldness and say, " This is my journey and my work from my God, what have you to do in this matter?" " My mind and spirit will not be intimidated, nor will your words cause me stop my work." " If I fall, if poverty takes hold on me, if I am cast out of the country and have to run for my life, I will not give up my hope- I will wait for it!" These people know that faith can moves mountains and uproots giant trees placing them in the oceans, to sink into the abyss.

Faith can not be conquered. Great nations and mighty armies have fallen before faith. It has drowned proud soldiers, who pursued after the poor, rich in faith,  at the bottom of the sea. Faith upheld the dignity of a young man falsely imprisoned and made him to stand before kings as a healer and a leader. It does not count the number of the war-machines and the multitudes of the enemy, but courageously stands before all the people and say, " this is our time, our opportunity to demonstrate our conviction and unwavering confidence in our triumph to future generations. It is written, that we win!"

Not even the horror of the death was able the keep captive the author of this faith in the grave- Christ. He endured the struggle, accepted the pain, and never doubted once that his Father would rise him up again. Some had counseled him not to accept the humiliation and the torture. They offered to take up arms and face an empire for him. But, faith is fearless before all things, even death. He knew that faith can not die. It rises again. It gets back up after the fall. It  lives for eternity and produces greatness in all those that choose to live by faith and not fears.
