Momentum

Greetings, Brothers and Sisters, may the grace of God the Father and the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ reign in your hearts on this His holy Sabbath.
As we continue to move closer and closer to end of this age and the beginning of that which will follow - the Kingdom of God, it is critical that we prepare ourselves through spiritual development.  We must engage the scripture daily, meditating on it's meaning and striving to apply it to our lives (Psalms 1:1-3).

Now, brethren, is not the time to back down.  It's a time to gather momentum and press even harder towards the mark: the Kingdom.  Now is a time for us to draw closer to God in sincere faith.  We should separate ourselves from an evil mind and hold our bodies in purity and holiness as we profess our faith before the world without hypocrisy and with the understanding that our God is faithful to fulfill His promises (1 Thess. 4:1-8).  Now is a time for us to encourage one another to grow in love and good works.  It's not a time for us to splinter into denominations, sects, and groups or into isolation, as some have done and are doing.  Rather, brethren, let us come together and edify or build up one another in God's Word as we see the day approaching (Hebrews 10:22-25).

I realize that many of us are separated by space and time-geography impedes us from gathering together as one.  A believer may be in one of many countries, cities or states around the world.  However, like Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well, God is seeking the true worshipers, who will worship him is spirit and in truth.  Worship is not based on location or temples and churches.  Let us also listen and do what Christ said in John 4:21-24.  To worship God in the spirit is to worship him with a mind that has been transformed by the truth (Romans 12:1-2). The Word of God is truth (John 17:17).  Therefore, space and time is irrelevant to the true worship of God in His eyes.  Yet, He created us and understands that it is not good for man to dwell alone (Gen. 2:18).  We were made to dwell together in community.  This is because we can be a help to each other in our weakness and lift each other up in the battles of spiritual warfare as we move closer to the gates of Zion (Eccl. 4:9-10).   This is the concept of iron sharpens iron.  We are better together than apart (Proverbs 27:17).

So, I encourage you to step out, be radical, seek out believers in your communities or make new believers by sharing the Word of God where your at.  Let us all with one heart and one truth worship God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; standing up for what is right, doing good to and for the oppressed and all those suffering in our communities and around the world.  Let us resist the Devil and pray always to God, the Father, for all saints as we go through this fight.  We also must always remember that we are not alone (1Peter 5:8-9, Eph. 6:18). We must not forget that God chose us out of this evil world because of His love for us, so that through us He may show His mercy and glory to all who will believe (1 Peter 2:1-10, John 17:6-11).

1 John 3:1-3 gives us hope and encourages us to stay pure.

God instructs us to abide in Him in John 15:3-8

Shalam,

May God bless you and keep you till we meet again
