One of greatest treasures we can desire or pursue is the love of our people Israel. All of our greatest leaders, prophets, holy men, and kings possessed this unique quality. It separated them from the ordinary and place them closer to God, who is love and the extraordinary.
First, what is the Biblical definition of love? Yes, God is the totality and Supreme definition of love according to the scriptures. He is the standard by which love is understood by man. All the beautiful qualities of love is exhibited by God. He is patient, allowing all of us, both Israel and the nations to come to the understanding that He alone is the only and universal God that should be worshippedand obeyed. He is merciful, winking at our ignorance and sending his prophets and even his Son to call us back to Him. He is holy and true; never will God do wickedness or not fulfill what he said he would do- he changes not; nor is he a man that he should lie( Num. 23:19, Rom. 3:3-4). He willing gives himself for our betterment, even giving his Son for our benefit. All his laws and commandments are just and holy( 1 Peter 1:15-16, Ps. 19:7,8,9,10). By theses qualities, God alone embodies love in its completeness.
To love the people then, is to emulate these characteristics of God as we interact with oneanother. Man does this by obeying God's laws and commands( 2 John 1:6), which teaches us how to live in peace and justice with each others.
The Bible says, if we love oneanother, we have fulfilled the law of God. "For this, Thou shall not commit adultery, Thou shall not kill, Thou shall not steal, Thou shall not bear false witness, Thou shall not covet; and if there be any other commandments, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shall love thy neighbor as thyself( Rom. 13:8-9), ( Ex. 20:8-17, Lev. 19:18)." We show love when we obey God and practice these commandments.
These commandments are found in the covenant God made with Isreal on Mt. Sinai( Ex. 20:1-17) and establishes our civil law. The other and first part of the covenant given is for us to love God by obeying him and worshipping only him, the one and true God(Ex. 20:1-7). Christ reaffirmes this rule when he instructed the apostles, stating, " If you love me, keep my commandments(John 14:15)." And, again, the opposite is also true as Christ stated, "He that love me not keepth not my sayings: and the words which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me(John 14:24)."
Therefore, for any in the Israelites movement, who say they love the people, they must keep God's command to love oneanother, just as he instructed us. And the greatest expression of true love, according to Christ, is to put the people first and lay down your life for them(John 15:13).
This means, that the true lovers, in the spirit of God and Christ, are willing to labor for the uplift of Israel; even in the peoples ignorance and blindedness by the works of our enemies and liesthat have beenspread about us by them. They do this work with patience, kindness, humility, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God's word and divine plan. They minister or serve the people in sincerity. They help their fellow Israelites find their way home to the God of their ancestors again. They do their work not for vain glory in this world, nor do they do it for money or what money can buy. This is a labor of love, selfless love; the people, and their redemption is the first and only quest.
These men and women who possess this type of God love are not afraid of death or threatening from the oppressors and our enemies; who hate to see our freedom from mental and physical slavery.
We have had images and glimes of these types of unique individuals in our recent time here in the Americas- men like Frederick Douglas, W.E.B Dubios, Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X, Tecumseh, Sitting Bull, Gerranimo, Russell Means have all showed their devotion to so-calledBlack and Indian peoples. And women like, Lozen, who defend her people with Gerranimo, Mary Seacole, who was a true healer and nurse, Madam C. J. Walker, a business woman and a builder of the black community, and Maya Angelou, wise storyteller and poet of the black experience, just to name a few who were mothers to their people out of love. All these demonstrate this kind of God love, for the people, and were willing to lay down their lives for them in all that they did for them. Some of them knew they were Israelites in captivity, but what's most important, and What God sees, is that they all had a sincere desire to help their brothers and sisters in need and were willing to sacrifice for them.
It is our turn. who are awakened to our true identity, to take up the work and continue the struggle through love for the people of God, in this same manner, obeying God, and demonstrating true love being a living sacrifice for the peopl, till the Black Messiah returns with everlasting freedom with the cloudsof heaven(Rev. 1:7, 8).
