For Justice

Find your own voice
for Justice
In a world
that speaks
with mixed messages.
You be the beacon of light
rising over the clouds,
transcending
the noise
of twisted minds, haft truths,
and white lies;
polite societies build on hypocrisy.
You be
the voice of justice.
Speak truth no matter what.
Yet, give the understanding.
Tell them what the word says
and not what the world says.
Remind them of the golden
commandment-" Love your neighbor as you love yourself ( James 2:8)."
Basic, simple, yet, so true.
Upon this hangs all the law and the prophets ( Matt. 22:36,37,38,39,40)
This is the foundations of true Justice.

Listen

So many sounds,
all saying something.
Yet, among all sounds
there is one true sound,
out of which all things resonate
have there being
and come into existence
from thought to actuality
from spiritual to physical
from that which can only be imagined
to that which is tangible, seen,
touched, felt, an evident presence,
so that the thing formed is not formed of itself
so that the thing formed is not formed of itself
From this one sound
came we all
from the thunder and rumbling
like the sounds of many waters
came forth
that one, true, sound
the voice of the Living God

AaaaMen

The New Gadite

There's been new worlds,
new ways, new means
to uncertain and bloody ends,
new beginnings
from chaos to unstable orders,
unto psychotic societies
bent on obtaining new houses,
new cars, new schools, new money.
New Negros
and new times, and Now is the time!
But, I am the new Gadite.
The new Gadite(Gen. 49:19).
Yet, I was here from the beginning,
ever since He guided me
across the Atlantic millenniums ago,
by that cloud by day and that fire by night.
They called my nation Red.
But, I am from the earth,
made of the soil of these here lands,
God calls Another Country- Azareth.
I am the new wine.
Listen to my drumbeat, hear my cry-
the offerings of the sounds of my lips,
swaying to the beat
moving in the spirit as I dance.
All praises to the Spirit.
God is a spirit.
And all who worship God,
must worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24).
I am the new Gadite (Deut. 33:20)
they hallucinating, thinking
they could ever stop me from being a nation.
I am the son, and He is the Father,
and the Earth is my mother.

Renewal

What if you could start all over again. How  would you restructure your relationships, your marriage, your parenting style, your approach to making a living? What would you do differently? What if I told you, you could start over again? How would you feel?
I know for me it would feel like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. All the guilt, disappointments and shame of past mistakes would be gone. I would feel free to move, do, and live- to make all things new again.
This opportunity of starting over again is what Christ was talking about when he said for a man to see the kingdom of heaven he had to be born again. The past is forgiven and a new birth now exist. All our errors, mistakes, mess-ups, with all our sins are blotted out before God, who grants us pardon by his grace and mercy, so we can start all over again the right way. We are considered a new man before him, and old things are pasted away.
The concept and experience of renewal is open to all of us through the Messiah, the Son of God. It starts by us obeying Christ as God commanded us to do. And his instructions are found in the gospel of God- the Holy Bible. It is the greatest feeling and experience to be renewed before God.
However, know also, that renewal comes with its' own challenges, due to the fact that we are not in the physical kingdom of God and Christ yet. We still have the challenge of battling our flesh or sin nature that is still present, along with the daily temptations of living in a sinful world. Therefore, we must heed the instructions of the apostle Paul to bring our flesh into subjection to God in order to avoid the trap of sin.
Our renewed spirit must fight continually against the spirit of the flesh to maintain its' renewed state. We are still renewed even in this state before God, but we have to war to keep ourselves on the strait and narrow path that leads to the kingdom of heaven- by faith, hope, and love.

Dance

Isn't it funny how weeks turn into years,
how yesterday fades into the past
and our moments become memories
-Solomon was right,
everything flows into itself;
we come and we go and come again.
Therefore, how we choose to live this week,
the year coming, our tomorrows,
and each moment will determine
our joy and the happiness of living.
So, I say, "Wisdom, take my hand
and lead me in your dance that you
call life; so that I may have no regrets
when it is done."

Prov. 8:32,33,34,35,36

To Zion

Zion
you lifted me up when I was down
you came to me and turned my world around
Zion
you came besides me when I was all alone
you said, " Child, don't you worry, It's going to be ok"
Zion
O, holy Zion
you opened your doors to me
when I had no home
Zion
I was hungry in the streets of the city
I was weak and fainting on the corner
and you came and gave me food to eat
Zion
O, holy Zion
you defended me from my strong enemies
you stood by me and strengthen me
Zion
blessed art thou above all the women of the earth
your beauty never fades
your glory is from everlasting to everlasting
O, holy Zion
city of the Great king
may you be forever blessed with sons and daughters
as numerous as the starts of heaven
like the sands on the sea shore that can not be numbered
O, eternal city of God
noble and just are you
Zion
you are a true light in the heavens
and a true guide and comforter to us on earth.

Endure

I am not alone.
We all have our own test.
We all have
the race to run.

I am not alone.
I am not the first
to endure these things ( 1 Peter 5:8,9).
We have all been through afflictions.
I too, like them
am able to Hope
on His great and awesome Promises.
Therefore, I endure all things

Day in, Day out
from sleep, to waking
and back again
generations come and go
time changes, yet I endure (Matt. 24:13)
till the end.

Shalam,
Zarach

Marathon

Lace up my shoe
mind ready
for the race ahead
focus on what must be done
focus on winning
miles ahead
warmed up
body temperature, just right
muscles loose and ready
at the starting line
Race day
multitudes, multitudes
on the starting line
Yet, only one will win the race ( 1 Cor. 9:24)
I'm determined
I'm committed
It will be me
I want this
I've dreamed about this
it's mine
I was made to win this
Gunshot in the air
We begin
the Marathon of my life
( these next 26 miles
will show my true character-
Will I give up?)

...So far, so good
First hill, done, too easy
I lead the pack
Running like a winner

But, behind me
he came-
old, pale, and relentless
on my heels,
determined to beat me,
to slow me down
Oh, no
We struggle and battle
for miles
back and forth
I questioned myself,
"why are you letting this
old bastard trouble you so?"
"come on, run your race. Focus."
But he was right there
taunting me-
" Say, young buck,
are you running this race, or what?"
"take it easy. If you try this, the pain
will go away and you can go on. It's easy."
I tried to block him out, that old cheat,
even though it sounded tempting.

I had a race to run, a marathon to overcome
I saw the road before me and the pack behind me
"pick up your pace and move on", I said to my soul.
My focus- back on the Race
the Marathon to overcome
till I reach Zion,
where true victory awaits.

How to get lean: Nutrient dense diet

The concept of getting lean becomes more important as we age. The aging process lends itself to gaining additional body fat due to the natural reduction in hormones, activity levels, increase opportunity for greater intake of processed foods, and loss of lean muscle tissue.  This process makes us more susceptible to gradual weight gain and diseases associated with obesity- hypertension, heart disease, diabetes, cancer, depression, and sleep disorders. The negative effects of aging can be offset by achieving leanness in body weight and body fat.  The diet we select to eat can help us get lean and age gracefully.

But before we get started with the steps to take towards leanness, it is important to establish the right mindset. We understand the value of the physical needs and benefits of leanness to our general health. However, to maintain the drive and commit to the process of achieving a healthy body, we must have a greater purpose than just achieving a physical outcome.  Our drive has to come from a spiritual purpose. We have to want better health in order to pursue the things of God and not just a pursuit for a carnal end. It is this mentality that will make our efforts more meaningful and lasting. ( 1 Cor. 9:25)

To reduce body fat and obtain a healthy weight start by assessing your current diet. How often do you eat? What foods are you eating consistently? How often do you eat out? And where are you eating out?

How many serving of fruits and vegetables are you eating? How much meat do you consume? The grains that you eat, are they whole grains or refine grains? These questions will help you identify areas in your diet that can be changed or improved.

A nutrient dense diet can promotes leanness, and has the following components: it is mostly a plant-base diet, utilizes whole grains, low to moderate intake of animal base protein sources, has a good amount of plant base proteins- beans, lentils, nuts and seeds, adequate fluid intake- mostly purified water, plenty of leafy green vegetables and bright colored fruits and vegetables, healthy fats- olive oil, almond oil, peanut oil, avocado, coconut oil, and seeds and nuts, and very little processed foods, if any at all.

Aim for a salad at every meal or at least two large salads a day. The salad is the easiest way to increase your intake of vegetables. It is also an opportunity to creatively add high nutrient dense foods to your diet. For example, have a salad with two to three cups of kale and  spinach and add cucumbers, peppers, onions, chic peas, dried or fresh fruits like cranberries or sliced apples, walnuts, with a garnish of feta cheese, and Balsamic oil and vinegar dressing. The possibilities are endless with salads.

Always add a regular fat salad dressing to your salads to enhance the absorption of the vitamin, minerals and antioxidants found in vegetables. Portion out the amount of salad dressing used to help control the calories provided- 1-2 tablespoons is sufficient. Vegetables are naturally low in calories and high in nutrition, making them a perfect food for achieving leanness.  The high fiber content in vegetables, fruits, beans, and nuts, also retards hunger and makes you feel full longer lessening the chance of overeating or giving into food cravings. As you increase your fiber intake you should increase your water or fluid intake as well to help avoid constipation and stomach upsets. Water contributes to the feeling of fullness too with zero calories.

Eat three main meals daily and a high protein snack before bed. Your meals should be evenly spaced four to five hours apart. This helps induce a fasting effect on the body, which allows the body to mobilize body fat for energy, promote cellular healing, and rest to the various organs and hormonal systems of the body. Your meals should consist of  25-30 grams of a lean protein source- beans, lentils, fish, or chicken,  1-2 serving of whole grains- ½ to 1 cup of wild rice or Quinoa, or a medium to large sweet potato, 5-10 grams of a healthy fat- 1-2 tablespoon of olive oil base salad dressing, 2-3 cups of vegetables. The evening snack could be a whey or plant-base protein smoothie sweeten with fresh or frozen fruits. This snack will help provide the protein you need for muscle maintenance and synthesis while you sleep.

Finally, limit how often you eat out. The more you eat out the greater the chance of overeating and adding excess calories to your diet, which contributes to weight gain and obesity. If you must eat out stay within the above meal planning idea- a large side salad, a lean protein source, a whole grain, make fresh fruits your desserts, and water your primary drink. This will help keep you from consuming high amounts of calories, fat, and sugar when you eat out. Another good habit to start is to visit the website of the restaurant you intend to go to and see what healthy options they have before you get there. This way you can stay in control of the amount of calories you take in and the quality of the foods you eat.

We do not have grown heavier and sicker as we age. We can get leaner and healthier instead. However, this will take effort on our part, both spiritual and physical. We will need to have the greater vision of changing our lives not just for ourselves, but to be able to contribute to the work of God or doing our part in that work. This mindset provides greater focus, energy, and motivation as we strive to make changes in our eating habits for something greater. This motivation will help us in selecting the best diet that promotes weight loss, body fat reduction, and lessen the risk of acquiring chronic diseases. A nutrient dense diet is able to provide all these benefits and vibrant energy as we grow older gracefully.

David Zarach

Angel

When I'm lost
and in pain
not knowing where to go
or how to get there
when the wolves chase
and men in angry mobs pursue-

What wrong have I done?
whom have I hurt?
or what country
can accuse me of insurrection and terror?
I was their slave.
They took everything
and created me.
Yet, they did not take my life.
And now, they say I'm free
only to be chased through
the streets of the Great City.
What have I done?
Whom have I betrayed?
Did not I bleed for them
in their wars,
and built their cities
and heal their sick?-

Don't leave me to their cruelty, my Angel
come and guide me
out of my prison
and from the wolves
and the mob
and the hands of evil men
Don't leave me in the cold
on that day when the snow is thick
and the frost unbearable
come and keep me warm
lift me up on eagles wings
carry me to that mountain of God
carry me home to Zion.

Adjust Your Frequency

I got my pen in my hand
meditating on something deep
out-of- body experience
the melody playing
and I hear the Spirit saying,
" Come and See!"
Be there and here at once
Breathe in, exhale now
deeply, slowly, to the rhythm
of Him that fills all things
listen, tune in,
adjust your frequency
to God's message
If you listen you will hear,
" write: for this is true and faithful (Rev. 21:5)"

Shalam,
Zarach

Down for some unity

Yeah, you down for some unity
I'm down for some unity
that's where the power be
Yeah, down for some unity
build, you and me, down for some unity
together we be chasing that vision,
down for some unity
They tried to break us apart, with some ignorance
trying to tell you and me, we not a people,
down for some ignorance
teaching there's no God, they down with that ignorance
I'm down for some unity
Yeah, you down for some unity
bone of my bone, down for some unity
flesh of my flesh, down for some unity( 2 Sam. 5:1)
Yeah, we down for some unity
Israelite rising, we're down for some unity

Shalam,
Zarach

Poem inspired by Saul Williams- "down for some ignorance"

Blues Man

Blues Man
talk to my soul
show me
what I can't see,
what I don't understand,
but can feel
sing my blues
tell my story
articulate
what I can't say
with your horn, trumpet,
saxophone, drumbeats,
piano, bass, altos and sopranos
speak to my soul
cause me to transcend
the hurt and pain
of this world
take me high above
the clouds
let me see that invisible world
through your music
Blues Man
shaman of the soul
with sounds and rhythms
African Herb-Man
spreading good vibes
all around
bringing health
lifting me up
from off the ground
Got my Sunday best on now
gonna praise God
for His love is supreme
for His love is supreme
for His love is supreme
He who gave man
the gift of healing
gonna praise my God
to the highest
listening to the sounds
of a genius
communicating with
the invisible world
bring back that healing
balm from Gilead
Blues Man
speak to my soul
down here in the darkness
and shine your light on me
that I might find my way
back home

Vision

Rays of light
beaming down
surrounding
the trees, hills
house tops,
and open roads
In the quietness
of it all
my inner man
is tuned into
your frequency, O God
In a trance
I see tomorrow
and eternity
Like a flowing stream
images of your future
come to me
clearer than high definition T.V.
or the highest pixel level
It's as real
as the visions
you gave the prophets of Israel
Visualize
"Blessed are your eyes", you say
"for they see
what other men cannot,
for those that are like you
are few"
"and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. (Matt. 28:20)"
Amen

Care for Your Health

The Bible states that a person who possesses wisdom will be conscious about his diet, also that self-love is expressed in the most fundamental way when we nourish and care for our bodies. As servants of God and believers in the word of God, we should all heed these instructions. It is a critical choice in disease prevention, acquiring vitality, and achieving longevity.

Here are three things to consider in improving your diet and caring for your body.

First, to be conscious about your diet means to carefully select what foods you will eat. The foods we eat either promote disease or provide the building blocks to good health. For example, high intake of process foods consisting primarily of sugar, salt, and fat, such as cakes, cookies, ice cream, soda, sweeten coffee drinks, white bread/enriched flour, candy, and packaged goods help promote the disease metabolic syndrome. This is a cluster of diseases occurring at once- diabetes, hypertension, elevated triglyceride, high cholesterol, and obesity. There is a high prevalence of metabolic syndrome in people whose diets are high in process foods. The foods we eat do have an impact on our health.
It is highly recommended to reduce and eliminate processed foods from your diet. Start by eliminating soda and sweetened drinks from your diet. For some people this change alone results in significant weight loss and reduction in belly fat, which is a risk factor for metabolic syndrome. Instead, try drinking water flavored with fruits. This method is low in sugar, fat, salt, and calories, but higher in nutritional value. Add sliced strawberries or sliced cucumbers( a favorite vegetable of our ancient Israelite ancestors) to your water to enhance the flavor and nutrition the next time your crave a sweeten drink. Here is a website for further recipes:
http://dailyburn.com/life/recipes/fruit-infused-water-recipes/

Next, get adequate physical activity. In our current modern world, we are becoming more and more  inactive at work and at home. Many jobs now are automated and require less physical activity. And at home with 24 hour entertainment available we spend much of our time on computers or phones. Our bodies were made for movement and to be physical. It helps release tension and stress, elevates our mood, remove excess sugar, fat, and calories from our bodies so we can stay lean and healthy. Aim for both functional activities and structured activities. Functional activities are those we do naturally like walking or running. These types of activities help us get exercise throughout the day without having to have a gym membership to do it. Try taking the stairs instead of the elevator next time, park a few blocks away from work and walk, at work deliver messages in person instead of emailing. Structured activities are those that are planned and purposeful, like taking a group exercise class, yoga, training for a 5k road race, strength training two to three times a week. All these various ways to stay physically active will complement a healthy diet in promoting health and vitality.

Finally, strive to get quality sleep. God says that He gives his beloved people sleep and peace of mind. Sleep is a natural part of the cycle of the world with the rhythm of day and night. Our bodies naturally rises with the dawn and begins to get sleepy with dusk and increases as darkness progress. This is what is called our circadian rhythm, that built-in clock that operates on the cycle of day and night. If we get inadequate or poor quality sleep we break this cycle. Limited number of hours or disrupted sleep has many detrimental effects, such as poor memory, decrease problem solving ability, depression, reduce reaction time, impaired healing of tissue and organs, reduction in growth hormones, and increase cravings for carbohydrates and sweets. Adequate and restful sleep does the opposite and helps prevent disease, elevate mood, reduces stress hormones, and provides energy and clarity of mind. Our sleep should be deep, restful, with dream sequences, and a gradual awaking with the new day.
Aim for seven to eight hours of uninterrupted sleep for most adults, youths and pregnant women may need more due to the growth cycles they are in.

If you have difficulty falling asleep consider the following tips:
  • Avoid caffeine after 12noon if you drink coffee. It can alter your ability to fall asleep.
  • Try to darken your house to simulate dusk- it cause your melatonin levels to rise. Melatonin is a natural hormone in our bodies that help promote sleepiness.
  • Utilize pray and meditation to help you relax and let go of the day. In  the quietness of your bedroom, with the light down low, pray to God and ask Him to watch over you, your family, and your community, and forgive anyone that offended you or ask forgiveness for your offense to anyone that day. Recite Proverbs 3:21,22,23,24 in recognition that God is your protector and giver of good sleep. Breathe deep through your nose and exhale through your mouth in a slow and relaxed manner for 12 breaths. This will help you relax further. Then let go of the day and all your worries, anticipations, and fears and enjoy the rest God gives.
By applying these three methods of being mindful of our diets, nourishing and caring for our body, we will be able to achieve good health, vitality and longevity. And this will not only benefit us but it will equip us to do the calling God has given each of us in our lifetime to do. We will be able to preach better, write better, sing better, provide for our families better, help others better, be better examples of the true believers of Christ. We will be a blessing to ourselves and to the world.

Zarach

Dee

Yo, Dee
Why is it
that every time
I   meet thee
it's only tragedy
every page I turn
I see tears and misery
Yo, Dee
Shakespeare
got nothing on you
Your  life
reads more real
than any of his tragedies
movies, videos, and t.v. series
don't even come close
to the tragedy
that's yours'
Yo, Dee
your struggle
is so real

Yo, Dee
I want to tell you
open that window
and let the light
of Yah moon
shine in
Open your eyes
Dee
I want you see
I'll be right by your side
through the miseries
and through the tragedies
I'll never leave you
Dee
Me and you
are connected spiritually

If I Had

If I had faith
even as small as a mustard seed
I would
stand up fearlessly
in defense of the oppressed
If I had faith,
just a little bit
I would
climb the mountain
that stands in the North,
whose height seems
to touch the very stars
and conquer it
If God would give me
a fraction of the faith
of a David, a Samson,
or a Judas Maccabee
I would
face armies
with a sword, a bow, a shield,
with my armor about me
on the open field ,
in the valley
as they mount up their defense
with tanks, Jets, drones, missiles, guns
and nuclear weapons
and I would
run through them
and smash them into pieces
for they dared to come against
a Rock:
the Rock of God
I would walk by faith,
Move by faith,
Live by faith,
and Overcome all things
by faith, which is in
Christ my Lord.
Amen

Zarach

I'm Coming Home

We left
Beaten and torn
battered into pieces
without a home anymore
No mother, No father
Without elders, priest, or scholars
No uncle or brother
Without a sister to mend up
my wounds, to say, "be strong now."
We left on slave-ships
Now, I'm Coming Home
on spaceships
Surrounded by brothers and sisters,
mothers and fathers
Apostles, prophets, shepherds,
priest, and scholars
Black Jews.
You gave me back
a 100 times over
All I ever lost
You go before us
in V formation
like the birds of heaven
Leading us
through the clouds,
over the mountains of Israel
To Zion,
to your holy temple-
Praises, and glory, and power,
and riches, and honor
Be unto you
O, son of the Living God, Most High
For you have remembered
us, your jewels,
and have gathered us
from the four winds
and from every country
we were scattered to.
Amen

Tree

Make like a Tree
and may your light
shine on me forever
Let my branches stretch
from the east to the west
Make me grow upward
till I reach heaven
among the clouds
Let my roots go down
deep under mountains
to underground streams
of the purest waters
and into mineral rich earth
May all the goodness
You placed in the ground
fill my veins traveling upwards
and into my leaves
Shine on me
strengthen me
uphold me
so that hurricanes, storms,
strong winds are but
as an autumn breeze
Let me rejoice among all the trees
because you have removed
them that destroy the earth
and established me
Your praise
Your joy
Your glory
Your true witness.
Let the birds come
and make their nest
high above the ground
among the clouds
and bring my fruit
forward at her seasons
give me twelve kinds
so that the people of
the earth may be blessed
and always full
and never hungry
You have planted me, O God
and your light has
cause me to grow
with your living water.

Been Down For Too Long

Who can Love like we do
search it
who among all the nations
have held so close to you
when all the kings of the earth
were drinking
till they stumbled
did not we stand
and resisted
waves of destruction
We cried out
Justice for everybody,
or Justice for nobody.
was it not us who
reminded the people
that they had the power
"Power to the people"
We rose up out of the ashes
like truth that can't die
and stood boldly
defiantly, manly
and said,
"It's a new day, and a new generation, and
change must come"
It's time to wake up
people, you been down for to long,
and NOW IS THE TIME.
See, Lord, our spirit that
you have place in us, bears
witness that we are your
sons and daughters.

Spiritual Warfare

We are in spiritual warfare not against other men, but the spiritual demon himself called the devil and Satan, that old serpent. He enters into the hearts of men to entice them unto error and evil using instant gratification and the desire for pleasure. This can be for food, sex, money, revenge, hate and any other things that stir the emotions and appetites of individual men and women. But this is not to the persons benefit, rather it often leads them to greater pain and struggles in their lives. Satan wants this for mankind, that they may suffer and eventually die. Many people do not realize that they are under attack by this evil force.  However, once our eyes are open spiritually we understand that we are in the midst of spiritual warfare and must fight back.
Satan attacks because of God's future plan for humanity. God's desire is to eventually restore the earth and all mankind back you the beginning, where God's physical presence is with man. In this new era that God is working to establish, sin would have no rule or power over the minds of men to bring about pain and chaos. This is because all humanity would know God and his Messiah, as the Bible says, form the least to the greatest. And the kingdom of evil would come to its end.
Out of envy and jealously for the future of man the Devil continually strives to destroy mankind, especially the saints of God; those who are conscious of right and wrong. They have the ability to challenge him and help other to overcome him as well. However, Satan knows that though man may know God, they are still flesh and blood and therefore subject to the possibility of sin-which is a test of faith to resist. This sin that is in them can be triggered by desires, greed, and ignorance, which Satan uses in his plots to overthrow them from achieving their destiny in God.
But God has not left us without a defense. He has outlined in the Holy Scriptures what we should do to resist the Devil. Consider these five steps that you can take in the midst of spiritual warfare or if you're undergoing a temptation to sin.
  1. Confess your sin or struggle with a fellow believer or spiritual leader in Christ and request that they pray for you as an intercessor. Christ, the scripture states, prays for us to the Father daily that we may overcome the evil one or Satan. Therefore, praying in unity with other believers is a critical weapon in our battle. ( 1 John 1:9, Rom. 8: 26,27)
  2. Look to the Holy Scriptures in sincere faith as your guidebook to life and spiritual warfare. Also, see it as your primary teacher, along with the Holy Spirit God has given us till He restores all things. The words of God are sure and faithful. ( 2 Peter 1:19,20,21, John 16:13)
  3. Seek counsel from a body of elders or ministers of God's word, who care about you and your salvation into God's kingdom. They will provide the wisdom and comfort to help you break through the strongholds of the devil in your life. They through study, prayer, and continual ministering are able to strengthen you. ( James 5: 14,15, 16, Proverbs 20:18)
  4. Resist the Devil at all times, through obeying God's commandments: know that the more your resist him, he will run from you. Because light is greater than darkness, and good overcomes evil. (James 4:7, Rom. 12:21, Eccl. 2:13)
  5. Never let anything or force cause you to abandon your faith in God and Christ. Keep your faith even unto death. ( Rev. 2:10,11, 2 Tim. 4:7,8)
And above all things, brethren, hold onto the covenant of our new hope: Love God with all you heart, strength, and soul, and Love your neighbor as you love yourself. If you meditate on this, memorize this, believe this, act on this, you will never fall from the grace we have from God in Christ our Lord, no matter what attacks may come from Devil.
Matt. 22: 37,38,39,40, James 2:8)

Rainbow Country

Your words are music to my soul
And I'm gonna to dance up this world
Your words, they comfort me
on my journey
Every morning at sunrise
You meet me
and at sunset I hear you say,
" I'm with you and no one will harm you-
Rest and sleep now.
Tomorrow I will overthrow all
your enemies.
At the rising of Zion, you shall be there
In that promise land,
that rainbow country
O, the sun is rising,
Zion is arising
I'm going to prepare a place for you,
So together we will always be.
The sun, and the moon, and the stars
will bow down to thee."
The sound of your music is so good to me, Lord
I feel like dancing
I dance because I'm free
In the streets of Zion, I dance,
In that Rainbow Country,
That Promise Land.

For Ephraim and Benjamin

I see the Storm coming
Dark clouds rising
Angry seas
and tsunamis
consuming houses, trees, beaches, and sand
O, Ephraim, land of rich ports
and all Benjamin with thee
In the midst of the storms, Lord, remember mercy
Who has not sinned before thee?
Consider the little ones, and women with child,
the old man, whose strength is failing
And what strong man can stand against hunger and thirst?
O, Ephraim, how beautiful were
your green mountains covering your Island
your valleys were full of the fruits of the earth
all that had ships were made rich at your ports
but now only desolation, isolation, condemnation
and separation from your mainland.
Benjamin howls for the pain he feels,
for he knows it
whole countries gone in a moment
Yet, the people party and speak foolishness
singing about euphoria and ecstasy up in the clubs
But, if it starts with you Israel, what shall happen
to the godless and the willfully blind, whom the god of this world
has captured?

Zarach

For Zion

Sister, don't let anybody
tell you you're less than
for you are
more than rubies, precious stones,
gold and silver,
more than fine clothes,
makeup and lipstick,
well set hair, and fresh new perms.
None can compare to you, my sister,
my dove.
Virtue is in your right hand
and power in your left
for you speak the word of God
into the hearts of your children
and your man,
so that they speak at the gates
of the city
And the people show much respect
because of their wisdom and good sense.
Your husband is proud and full of joy
when he thinks of you
And he doesn't need another.
Your children call you blessed.
Sister, look up and remember
whose daughter thou art-
You are a daughter of Zion,
A daughter of Jacob,
A daughter of New Jerusalem.

The only true Glory

A wise man once said," If you seek your own glory, it is not true glory." What a hard concept to grasp in our age, when it seems that everyone is looking for more fame, more money, more things. The popular culture esteems those who achieve these things in it's media, magazines, internet, cable, and smartphones. We are inundated with images of glory by gain. But, is this true glory?
The Bible teaches us, those that have ears to hear, that the only true glory or fame, power, and high standing only comes when we seek to please God( John 5:44). When we humble ourselves in obedience to God with a sincere heart He then elevates us. But the proud and the arrogant he brings low and lower till they are no more ( 1 Peter 5:5,6). If we consider the rise of David the son of Jesse, we would see this very concept in action.
David's rise to glory and kingship unto being giving the honor of being the progenitor of the Messiah, Jesus our Lord, did not start with him seeking it. Remember David was the youngest of Jesse's sons, a shepherd, and a messenger for his father Jesse. But he had the heart of God in that he was fearless in the defense of the helpless and in the upholding of the honor of his God, Yahawah. For example, when a lion and a bear attacked his sheep, David, did not run and hide but with the courage of a warrior of God he pursued them and killed them both and rescued the helpless. Again, when a giant mocked God and his people Israel, David on his journey as a messenger heard it. And his passion burned, not for glory, but for God and the people of Israel. He took up the challenge of the giant with only a sling and a stone. That day God cause his star to rise in Israel, for God blessed him with his Holy Spirit. His arm became a cannon and a weapon of fierce power and furry, as he cast his stone with the power of a god, killing the giant instantly, as the stone penetrated his skull with violent force. At the sight of this the enemies of Israel fled for they knew this was a supernatural act and great fear fell upon them all. From this point on God continue to promote David, because he stayed humble and faithful, knowing that it was God who gave him all the power that he had and was with him( the history of David is found in the books of 1 & 2 Samuel).
This is the only true type of glory we should seek, brothers and sisters; the glory that comes from God, anything else is not of Him but of this world (James 3: 13,14,15). And we, who believe in the scriptures, know that the things of this world are only for a moment and are about to vanish as though they had never been ( 1 John 2:16,17). We know that true glory comes form abiding in Christ, who instructed us to trust in the living God( John 15:5), so that we may be the true city on the hill-the Israel of God ( Matt. 5:13,14).
I challenge you, brothers and sisters, to pursue the only true glory there ever was; the glory that comes only form God. Remember David and all the saints of the past, who forsook this world and all it's seduction and followed after the promises of God( Luke 4:5,6,7,8). Let us take the Messiah as our chief example, who sought to please God and not himself that we may be reconciled to God again and that God may be all in all, in heaven and earth- the only true glory is that which comes from God.

Endurance

The more you continue with God, the more you understand. However, this type of endurance will require much discipline, obedience, faith, trust, integrity, and fearlessness. Uncommon traits in a world bent on pleasure and self-focus. Yet, the good man is willing to look beyond this current reality and focus on that which is eternal- the invisible world, which daily is moving to merge into our physical world. And because he can see what has been revealed to him he abides with the God of eternity, willing to live in obedience, to forgive and be forgiven, to love without expecting anything in return; because he knows that God is his great reward. So, he marches on his path, not turning to the left or right, till he reaches the gates of Zion.

Eye of the Storm

There's a storm coming
and in the eye of the storm
I was brought forth
A man accustomed to sorrows
despised by my mother's children
but beloved of God
and saved by the King
For I was precious in His eyes
He took me from among the flock
and said, " Thou art mine, O Israel"

Like Water

Flow like waves in the ocean
or ripples in the  water
blow like the breeze in autumn
Music
You are my escape-
sweet Jazz music
when the world is holding unto me
and wont let go
You come and comfort me
My mind Relaxes
Me soul Rest
My body Reclines
Then I can breathe again
The waters that are just above my head
begin to abate and pull away like the tide
No storms coming
Levies not broken
Rose growing
Fig tree blooming

In the midst of your storm

Life is in constant change. Change can happens rapidly or at a certain pace, yet it will happen. And in these times of uncertainty and great struggles change is all that we experience. Yet, the one true thing or entity that is always constant and by our side is God.
Brothers and sisters, it is a mark of wisdom if we abide with God in our struggles; for salvation and deliverance comes only from the Lord.
In the midst of the storms of life, the struggles, the pain, stress, and anxiety as experience by fellow believers across the USA and Worldwide, the light of hope comes form one place- the Most High, who encompass heaven and earth.
Whatever we may be going through, with it's storms and mighty winds that beat against us, we must take courage and endure. And this with the knowledge that the saints of yesterday, today, and tomorrow have overcome the trials of life as it is written in the holy scriptures- by the blood of the Lamb, Christ our Lord; who is able to comfort us in all our troubles.

I encourage you, brothers and sisters, to take a moment and read the following scripture; taking in the Spirit of God that is in the word, as you read.
  1. Matthew 7:24-27
  2. 1 Peter 5: 8,9
  3. Revelation 12:10,11
  4. Hebrews 2: 14-18
Read these scriptures daily as to go through and overcome your struggles.

Two Cities

There is one City

full of all things:

Hate, violence, schemes,

Gossips, slander, accusations,

Intoxicating highs, and lies,

Random acts of violence,

Uncertain safety, fast cars,

Frustrations,

And the talk of evil men

that lurk in secret places

for easy victims

at home or abroad.

It is a City where guns, knives,

And weapons of mass destruction

are a way of life,

and the illusion of abundance.

Some people call this

Peace and Liberty.

Dark clouds hover

over this City.

Then there is a City

Well ordered, in a valley,

Vast and Expanding into the horizon.

  It is quiet.

The people walk about freely.

They go about their endeavors,

Laboring to build and create;

Caring for the people of the City,

Caring for the trees, the rivers,

The hillside and all the creatures

Who live there.

Violence is not heard of in this City.

There is a calm like at dusk that hovers

Over this City.

All things flow together in this City,

Like a pleasant river on its way to the blue sea.

The light of this City is different also,

Not like the light of the sun,

It is a sunless light, a pure light.

The people of this city rejoice

As they walk

In this light that is over them.

You see- they knew the City they

Once escaped from, with its promises

Of freedom and abundance

Only to be disillusioned by the pain

They felt every day when they lived there.

But, Now is a New Time.

Ps. 48: 12, 13, 14

The heart of a teacher

A teacher is moved with compassion to help his students in their needs and development, like Christ, he sees their weakness, their lack of wholeness, and the things that are holding them back from developing the potential that is in them.

The teacher sees the beauty and potential of the student and labors with skill and knowledge to develop it, to bring it out that it may be a blessing to the student and to humanity.

The teacher is compassionate in assessing the needs of the student, and while having high expectations for the student is careful to allow the student to learn the fundamentals- to take hold of the milk. And once it is mastered, then he adds to the learning of the student so he may grow from there, all the while providing the encouragement and his skill as an educator to actualize the student’s potential.

The teacher realizes that true education is one in which the student is instructed to analyze the needs of his community and the world around him and develop strategies on how best to meet that need. This is done while considering the historical factor of the students community, the goals and aspirations of the community, and the urgency for change in the community.

These are critical points when considering the Hebrew Israelite community here in America, in selecting teachers and leaders; but most importantly in fulfilling their prophetic destiny. The Hebrews, called Indians and Blacks , here in America arrived on the shores of this continent as it is written in the prophecy of the holy scriptures (Deut. 28:68, 2 Esdras 13:40-46 ) in ships. They arrived as the Hebrew Israelites, the people of God and Christ their King. And  it is they who will leave America as it is written at the time of the gathering of God’s holy and elect people from the four corners of the earth ( Matt. 24:29-31). It is through them that God will bless the earth and the nations that survive the Day of The Lord and are called to this rising of God’s holy people. The Hebrew Israelite people here in America have a calling buried and etched into their spiritual DNA that has been suppressed for hundreds of years through neglect by their leadership and deliberate miseducation by their oppressors. But, nevertheless, the calling, which is of God, cannot be removed and at the appointed time according to prophecy it shall manifest itself to the glory of God the Father and Christ the Lord- because the word of God will be proven true and evident in that day.

The Blessing

In the beginning

God chose Abraham

Isaac after him, then Jacob over Esau

Next He selected the children of Jacob: the 12 tribes of Israel

To be his peculiar people above all people

And said to them, “ You are my witnesses; that there is

No other God but me.”(Is. 43:10)

And He blessed them saying, “ In you shall all the families of the earth be blessed.”( Gen. 12:1,2,3)

“By you will I cause all wars to end and bring the violent to nothing; men shall know peace

From one end of earth to the other”

By you I will transform the burnt and desolate wasteland into Eden once more

When I make new heavens and a new earth;

“For I have made you for my glory” (Isaiah 43:1, 5,6,7)

Hero Part 2

I went looking for a hero

One to lead us out of darkness

And into that marvelous light

That has been yearned for through the ages

A shepherd to guide us with wisdom

Thru the valleys and over the mountains

Pass the gagged Cliff and deep ravines

Unto the way of the city with golden streets

I went looking for a leader to end the pain,

The struggle, the hurt, and the sorrow of

Being a stranger is a strange land

And I met you

And you said, “Follow me”-

“And I will show you what eyes have not seen, nor ear heard”

For God does his strange work in the earth

You asked, “do you believe?”

John 1:37, 38

When I Read

When I read

I reflect on your holy word

Then I gain insight

Into what you require of man

And what is good for man

And that which cause one to fall from the way

By your holy word I gain life

That precious gift you give to them that love you

And not the life of the sensed only, but to truly live-

In your everlasting light, Oh Yahawah

Rejoicing in all you give

From beautiful sunset beaches

Moon lit skies full of stars

Blue oceans

To the warm embrace of a loving wife and children

At the end of a journey crowned with success

To the sweetness of your Sabbath days

And the laughter and joy of your feast days

All this life you give to him that walk in obedience to you

All is joyous to them who read your holy words

And understand that these are your gifts to man

Amen

Our Labor

Confusion on all sides
people telling you
what to do, what to wear,
what to eat
making merchandise of you and me
But out of the darkness
came the Light
and shined on me
at the hour of decision
and I took up the work
He gave me
I began to build
The noise continued still
yet, I was steadfast,
unmovable
I saw the end
from where I was standing
and nothing was able to
compare to it
They whispered
in my ear
of the glory and pleasures
of this life-
all seven of them
spoke at once
Then I called to remembrance
the saints of old
how they declared to the world
that they were strangers and pilgrims
in the Earth; waiting for the Kingdom
and resisting against
the evil and the systems of darkness
because they knew
God was Faithful.

Amen

Evening Prayer

On the rooftop
in the cool of the day
high above
the commotions of the city
A quite place to pray
My attention directed towards you,
O God
The source of my life force
The substance of my soul
-He is the life of man-
I come humbly before you
hear my petition
consider my meditation
and my reflections of you, O God
Examine me and see
for I am your servant
Hear me
deliver me from all my enemies
Rescue me from the gates of the grave
cause me to live
that by me you may
do valiantly in the Earth
gird me with thy strength
in the land of the living.

Living Hope

You said you had to go away.
How long? only the Father knew.
And here we, those that Hope in you, stand
Though the years are all gone, like the dust
before the wind
This hope of the everlasting still abides in us.
The enemies are glad that the prophecy
is not fulfilled in their days.
But they don't know, that you
don't count the days like men.
All is by weight, measures, portions,
with times and seasons, with you, O God,
as it has pleased you.
Who then is he who scoffs at our Hope
The hope of the Everlasting
and the promise of the Kingdom
Who are they to say, " aha, aha, he
hoped in God, now let God come and save him"
But you , Oh Yahawah,
art the everlasting,
you are always the same.
And though my flesh grows old while I wait
and my eyes grow dim,
I know you will do the things you said.
Like Joseph prophesied your coming deliverance and
command the people to take his bones into the promise land,
So we stand in faith,
for you art the great I Am
for you are always and never ending.
If I should die
before my eyes are blessed
to behold your beauty
on the day that you stand on Earth
again and drink the water from the brook
with your army of mighty Angels around you,
I know I will die in hope;
for you would have come
to rescue me from the grave
as you have promised
throughout the ages to them that love you.

Your thoughts are higher that the thoughts of man
and your words will not return to you void...

Calling All Israelites

Here we are
500 years after
they said we would never know again
the name of Israel
We were shaken to our foundation
brought to the depths of hell
cast into a strange land- Another country
Breathing in all the pain and sorrows
of oppression, captivity, murders,
distress, closed doors, hopeless dreams,
false messages, and the false gods of the ghetto.
We've seen rain mixed with dark clouds,
hurricanes and cruel tempest
been through the fire
neglect and emptiness
But none of our enemies considered,
nor did they know
the God of Jacob
Who keepth covenant for thousands of generations
and who will by no means break his word
500 years after
through it all
He separated a Remnant
for Himself
elect and chosen;
save by the blood of the Lamb
delivered by the arm of the Great King
Crowned by the hand of the Prince of God the Father-
Christ our Lord

Romans 11:29
Is. 45:17
Acts 3:20,21

The Warrior

The warrior awakes
towards Jerusalem he turns
and kneels with arms lifted up to heaven
Praises are whispered to the God of Jacob
cosmic communication
psychic awakening
God hears the prayers of the righteous
quietness, silence
the mind centered
Listening
to the voice of the cosmos
eyes closed
chest rise and fall breathing in
the sweet air God gives
eyes open
The journey begins
The journey continues
on the way that God has instructed him
till the Kingdom is established
and the service to the great king of the city is accomplished
He continues on
sword in one hand, the holy scriptures in the next
It is enough.
On his journey he goes

Ps. 5:1,2,3

The way of Life

And so we
come to this
moment
A time of choices
decisions and paths before us-
May God grant us strength and wisdom
to choose Life
and that which is right and good
for the human soul.
The way of righteousness is sure;
A road leading to palaces,
gardens, and the sounds of choirs
praising their Holy God-
A peace transcending human thought ( John 14:27),
greater than the sublime,
more beautiful than the blossom of an orchid,
with rays of light more abundant than the sun-
A light that clothes those who choose this way ( Matt. 17:1,2)

Shalam,
Zarach

New Jerusalem

Imagine a world
free from strife of war,
bigotry, evil men, and wicked mentalities
If we can
for a slight moment
one would gain a glimpse
into the true potential
God has placed in man.
In that world,
instead of violence and desire for ill gotten gain
the mind would be free
to dwell on the sublime
the beauty of art, life healing science, culture,
music, poetry, true learning expounded by wise men,
to harness the power of the soil to feed a city,
a country, and a world without destroying the earth.
The mind would be free
to reach new levels of creativity
to rebuild the old wasted and desolate
cities of bygone ages ( Is. 61:4)
creating cities of dazzling beauty with exquisite palaces
and towers inlayed with precious stones and rear metals
A world whose royal city possesses streets of true gold
so polished it resembles glass
Whose gates are never closed-
for why would one steal what is already yours
nor shall such thoughts enter into one so blessed.
In this world
the mind would be free to worship God
in the beauty of holiness
continually ( Rev. 21:21, 22,23,24,25,26,27)

The hope of the world:

Live Your Calling

I Live to the call
I live in the calling
Walking these streets
on my course
in the midst
of distractions, temptations,
wicked women
and evil men
Don't know who to trust
But I live to the Call
withstanding all oppositions
and those that would rather
see me fall
From His grace
I live to the Call
standing erect in the midst
like a tall tree
living water flowing through me
I live to the Call
of His Majesty, Christ the Lord

Daughters of Eurocentric Christianity: Eddie Long, Kenneth Copeland, the white church , the black church

Get rich or die trying
I got my mind on my money
God desire we get rich
I love the feel of new money
Dance on the money preacher
Your 10% will now be
automatically deducted from your bank account,
so you will never have to think about it
I got the holy ghost
Oh, if you pray this prayer
you're saved no matter what sin you do-
If you say this spell, said the warlock,
the witch, the sales man, and the evangelist
We need a liberation from
a Christianity that constrains us,
that condemns us, to one of freedom.
Freedom to do what feels good
to me and you- can I get an Amen!
The power is in you, you got
to tap into you inner power;
God has no power-it's your word
that has the power, isn't life and death
in the tongue?
And all the women shouted, Amen!
And jumped and fell to the floor wallowing
The men clapped and cheered
The preacher smiled and grinned
And no one opposed them.
No one remembered
that He is on His way
to judge the world for it's wickedness(Is.13:11, 2 Thess. 1:7,8,9)
And to put them that are wicked
to the sword ( Jer. 25:31).
The music played
and the people got up to dance ( 1 Cor. 10:7).

Meditations

Daylight
comes, the sun shines
the breeze blow
the birds go about
their task
the clouds drift in the skies
over the city
with apartment buildings and skyscrapers
over open fields and mountains
above my head
as I pray
towards the city of God
No noise
No hurry
Solitude
a peace of mind
my meditations on your holy verses,
oh Yahawah

Focus

Leaser Beam Focus
eyes straight ahead
not moving

Marching like a soldier

but that final

No fear
No doubt
No turning back

task ahead
I got work to do
Focus
Till I finish my course
finish my race (2 Tim.4:7)

Calling

I was walking
down the streets
of Babylon
thinking I knew
where I was going
chasing that dream
and having fun
along the way
Then I heard
Why did I stop?
I could've walked on
I could've gone and get mine
that dream
but something said,
"Stop, Listen"
I drew closer
and you said, "This is the way,
Walk in it!"( Is.30:21)

The Journey

In life it seems
there are many paths
to travel on
and journeys to take
And no man knows the outcome
only the hope of reaching
the final destination
But, you, O God
have always been with me
you charted the paths that I
should take (Is. 43:16)
and your words, they comfort me,
guiding me
to that city,
the City of God.
