The true battle

To know and follow your calling from the Most high is the true battle. The daily trials on the jobs, at home and our other interactions with the world are mere tools of learning for our journey-but this is not the true battle.

The true battle is the work God has given us to finish,  to be obedient to Him,  to love the brotherhood, to live honestly among a crooked and perverse nation, to strive to be at peace with all men, to contribute to the gathering of the twelve tribes of Israel , and bring his people into the flock from among the nations that are His by Christ.

The work of God takes consistent labor and the war of communal and individual prayer and labor  to complete it. In this work, as in other daily exercises, you cannot take your eyes off the final destination,  no matterhow hard it gets. until  work is done- until your journey is completed.

Strong heart, brothers!

Counselor

"If  you seek God, you will find him," stated the Messiah Yahawahshi. It is through our sincere request and active search that we come upon the jewels of the life giving Wisdom of God in the holy scriptures. Yet, there are many paths one can choose to seek wisdom and counsel in the midst of the storms of life. The counsel of great men, wise teachers, honored elders are all options. But, if they drink not from the pure fountain of life that flows from the God inspire holy scriptures, then they only  pave roads that lead back to the same unanswered questions we started with.

And how do we seek out the wisdom and understanding found in the holy writ for true counsel and direction? We cannot will to know it, nor can the arts of academics uncover this source of illumination.  It comes only at the complete surrender of ourselves to God. It comes with the realization that "I can not," that "I do not know," that " I do not complete myself by myself." It comes by knowing and accepting that it is God alone that directs my heart unto the living water of truth.

Spiritual walk

To walk in a spiritual  way means that every moment of our lives is captured by this desire. To live a spiritual  life means that all your thoughts, all your words, and all your actions are filtered by the spirit of God or the word of God; nothing is taken for granted, but is subject to the word of God.

Your daily life is the sum of your spirit-man or spiritual life: the inner man. What we do and say will eventually cement our character and our very essence. It will define our identity.  Therefore, great thought and contemplation must be placed on the choices we make in order to reach the ability to walk in the spirit and stay in the spirit. This is the life of the mind.

To help us achieve this spiritual life, God has left us a Book of instructions to guide our steps in our life's journey: the Bible.  In it are laws, judgements, wisdom, counsel, prophecies, and examples of men and women, both holy and wicked,  to reflect on and gain insight into what works and what doesn't work for one seeking to live the ascetic life and to walk in the spirit of God.

If these instructions and laws are applied, eventually it will lead to a life well lived coupled with the hope of immortality, which God has promised to all his faithful followers who choose His path or way. And the end of this law is faith in God through his son, Christ, the Lord. In him we find completeness, wholeness,  and hope on our journey.

To walk in the spirit then, is a choice we must make everyday, while denying the desires do the very opposite of living a life without God or His word. The ability to have this choice is part of being human or a son of Adam-we can choose to do what is upright or we can choose to do what is evil.  The choice of evil, however, leads to destruction. Thus, to overcome evil and achieve the blessings of God, we must follow the instructions of Christ, who is the end of this faith and walk with God, and do what he has said- "If any man will come after me(follow my example), let him deny himself,  and take up his cross (the constant struggle to do good in the midst of evil and temptations), and follow me ( keep God's commands as he did)Matt. 16:24, John 14:31."

Israel

I've wondered up and down this world,
traveling to the north and to the south,
out west and back east again in search of you:
hoping to find true love.
I've tried to capture and subdue that empty feeling I have, because your not in my life, with the earthy concept of love, by tuning into love songs, and gazing at romantic motion pictures,  and the dreamy fantasies they portrayed, where the boy meets the girl of his dreams and she has that same dream too, and in the end they fall in love and live happily ever after.
But, it never ends like that for me with what I found so far. Because none of these things compare to you. They can't fill the void of my empty heart, or meet the expectations of love that I have of you; nor even spark the feelings that I have when I think of you.
I've searched for a love like yours over oceans, and traveled through strange lands to find you again. But, all I found was disappointments and users, and those that are seekers of their own gains and not true love.
O that His light would shine on me and guide my path to you, Israel. The place where true love lives and God inhabits'. Only If He would shepherd me to you, then I would find you and I would make my abode with you. I would hold you in my arms with all my strength and never leave you.
In finding you and returning to you, it would be like coming home when you've been gone for a long, long time, or lost at sea to finally drift ashore upon your native land. With you, O Israel, I'm home forevermore; I'm where I belong, where joy, true love, and God dwells for eternity.

The key

 The mind

The soul

The inner eye

That place that we come face to face with

Ourselves

Where honesty looks back at us

And we can't run or hide from it

All we can do is embrace it

who we are, with all our flaws and imperfections

To accept it, is to come to the next elevation

Like the clouds in the blue sky

Or the moon in its glow as evening begins to set in

We are like the stars; We shine forever

In truth

We are His creation (Eph.2:8,9,10)

And everyday we move closer to perfection.

What's in your heart?

 If we forget

And we wonder off

If we allow our souls to be taken

What will remain

What will be in your heart

If we ignore who we are and wonder off

And let our souls be taken

What will remain

A broken heart and a broken spirit

A body without a soul or a spirit(James 2:26)

And that's not living(Proverbs 18:14)

Psalm 51:10-11

Sastun

By the Urim and the Thummim

Let the priest communicate with God

With the breastplate of judgement on his heart continually(Ex. 28:30)

Let the light of God shine on him

And the vision appear upon the stones of light

Telling what is to be shortly

So man will fear God and confess that He is Lord.
